Audition Materials and Info

Band audition materials and procedures have changed for the 2027 festival. To ensure ample preparation time, promote musicianship, and standardize our audition processes, we will use a set group of excerpts each year. This encourages each cadet to prepare well ahead of the festival and allows directors the flexibility to introduce excerpts well in advance.Choir and bagpipe cadets will not audition per se; however, they are expected to know the selected literature in advance. Clinicians will recognize outstanding cadet performance and leadership with end-of-festival awards.
